Pentridge Prison Excursion

On September 18th, Year 10 Sociology students embarked on an enlightening excursion to Pentridge Prison. This visit provided a unique opportunity for students to delve into the sociological perspectives on crime. Through exploring the historical site, students examined various theories on the causes of criminal behavior and the effectiveness of different sanctions. This hands-on experience brought their classroom studies to life, fostering a deeper understanding of the complex social factors influencing crime and punishment.
