IDAHOBIT Day

In Week 5 of this Term, students at each campus learned about IDAHOBIT Day, an international day on 17 May that seeks to raise awareness about the human rights of LGBTQIA+ people. Students engaged in a conversation about discrimination, including homophobia, along with a discussion about what respect and inclusivity looks like at school and in the community.  Students heard key messages around safety and the importance of everyone feeling safe and happy at school.

Our College is committed to combatting discrimination and using IDAHOBIT as a catalyst for building LGBTQIA+ inclusion all year round. For further information on IDAHOBIT Day please see: https://www.idahobit.org.au/
