Hume Flexible Setting

Our Hume Flexible Setting (HFS) is an alternative learning program for Year 8 and 9 students at Hume Central Secondary College. It aims to rebuild students’ behavioural, cognitive, and emotional engagement with learning and the school community. This includes restoring positive relationships with peers and adults so that they are able to engage in mainstream education or an alternative learning pathway. It also helps students to develop constructive interests and set goals for further study or training and employment.

Core activities of the program include:

  4. Social & Emotional Development
  5. Mainstream Education / Timetable Opportunities
  6. Community / Hands-on Learning Opportunities.

Our Hume Flexible Setting (HFS) is located inside our Blair Street Junior Years Campus. It comprises of 2 classrooms, a kitchen, staff office, foyer and indoor gym.
